The scroll scrolls alright and has a decently stiff click. There's a bonus of them never double-clicking but that very much comes at the cost of having an odd feeling switch. In my opinion they don't feel intolerable but they lack the satisfying click and snappiness that my other mice with Omrons/Huanos have. There's no travel issues, but they're extremely dull and heavy compared to mice with conventional mechanical switches. The main clicks are a huge make-or-break with this mouse. I find this super comfortable for claw because my thumb can hook into that curve very well but can see this being a huge turn off for palm and fingertip users as that flare can really dig into your grip if you hold with very straight-out fingers.
Something to note is that the back flare-out is very extreme, so the mouse gradually tapers from front to back but then there is a sudden big flare out at the end. Kind of reminds me of the WMO in this respect. A complaint I had with a ton of claw mice was that they flared outwards at the front which pushed my ring and pinky fingers away, but the Burst shape actually tapers a bit as it comes towards the front so I can place my fingers as I wish. The sides are really flat and unobtrusive so I can claw really far back and the top curve and far back hump fills out my palm nicely. While being light as it is (~69g on my scale) it has no flex, creaks, or rattles when shaken.įeels great to me for my 18x10cm claw grip. Roccat mice always had a reputation for being built very well and the Burst is no exception.
